About Gaevert Consulting
In 2011, I created Gaevert Consulting to work with small businesses and organizations in the areas of project management, proposal writing, program planning, data management, and technical writing and editing. In conjunction with this, I launched Website Solutions by Gaevert Consulting where I offer web design and assistance in navigating the many options for web hosting.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming and my Master's in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in acoustics from the University of Washington. I began my career as an acoustics engineer and gained years of experience in program management, problem solving, and communication. I developed strong data management and PC skills and became a "go to" person for project communication, organization and proposal/report writing. I then worked for a local architectural acoustics firm where I wrote hundreds of proposals and reviewed and edited technical reports. In parallel, I supported numerous local and national volunteer organizations and began creating and honing my web site skills.
During this time I also because an expert in MS Excel and automating tedious data analysis and processing tasks using VBA and Pivot Tables. I have used these skills to automate many processes that require extensive data manipulation and analysis. Typical applications are for organizing and using member or customer data or managing large amounts of test data. I also have experience planning conferences and workshops. Skills include everything from on-line marketing and registration to facility planning (i.e., hotel/conference center negotiations for rooms, catering, and accommodations, etc.).
